EU Cooperation on Green Transition
The frames of the Danish energy and climate policy are more and more set by the EU. This is where agreement is reached as to a common, European target of e.g. a reduction of greenhouse gas emission, sustainable energy and energy efficiency improvement.
The EU Energy Union
The specific cooperation about energy and climate policy is concentrated in the EU energy union targeting on making energy safer, cheaper and sustainable for the good of European consumers and the competitiveness of European companies. The EU Energy Union covers five coherent and interrelated dimensions:

Questions about energy are as a main rule dealt with in the council formation concerning Transport, Telecommunication and Energy (TTE), whereas climate is dealt with in the Environment Council. The meetings are held about every second months.
